Dr. h.c. Niels M. Winther founded Winther & Associates (W&A) in 2004 out of a desire to give back to the print community of which he was a part of its leadership for over 30 years. Spending almost two decades in management positions around the globe with Heidelberg, Niels joined Heidelberg’s North American operations in 1996 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and subsequently rose to become President and CEO.


From his experience and international network of thought leaders, Winther & Associates offers both equipment suppliers and suppliers of print media strategic planning and consultative services running the full spectrum of operations within the world of Print.

In 2002, Niels was presented with an honorary Doctorate Degree in Business and Industry from the State of Michigan’s, Ferris State University.
